CHOCOLATE CHIP OREO BROWNIE

Decadent! I only used 4 squares of chocolate and they were plenty chocolaty and brownie like. I made an 8x8 pan and just broke the oreos up by hand. They are thick and awesome with a cold glass of milk!
My husband and my kids enjoyed these, I only baked them for just over 30 minutes, I made them using semi-sweet baking chocolate squares and decreased the sugar by 1/4 cup, as that is all I had handy, they still turned out wonderful with a nice chewy texture.

Used my own chocolate cake recipe and smothered it with chocolate ganache (combination of chocolate and heavy whipping cream). I made the cream cheese mixture and let it set in a springform pan in the refrigerator while I baked the cake. This made it so much easier to stack the cakes.

This same recipe is in a magazine I received a few years back! Delicious! Instead of making the chocolate ganache, I made a cream cheese frosting and used this for my little girls birthday party. I had some trouble initially getting my top layer to be flush but after some strategic moving of some of the oreos in the filling, it looked great! I had all the moms and even a grandpa asking me for this recipe! I love this recipe! Loved this cake.
