Chocolate Fudge Cupcakes with Salted Caramel Frosting

This is SO delicious! I left out the vanilla, because I didn't have any, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. I covered a 9x13 pound cake very generously and had about 3/4 cup left over. It developed a hard skin, which gave a very pleasant crunchy outside, then moist inside, and it looked very pretty on the cake. I got rave reviews!

I just made this last night and I had a huge problem with frosting the cake. I couldn't stop tasting the frosting! This is addicting and oh my goodness the best choc frosting Ive ever tasted. Its NOT over the top sweet. Just pure perfection.

This is absolutely the BEST chocolate frosting I have ever made! I used Baker's brand chocolate. This frosting paired wonderfully with "One Bowl Chocolate Cake III" found here.
